2009 Athar by Thiefoworld 2009 Athar by Thiefoworld
ﺁﺫﺍﺭ / Marche / Marzo / March
Third of the twelve original illustrations for my 2009 calendar

Took the idea from ~suukei who participated in my contest with her entry about Lebanon.

Found inspiration in the lebanese traditional dance, the 'dabke'
Thanks to ~suukei for the words for 'Lebanon' and 'March'
And thank you so much to ~lifeshadows for correcting me!

Textures from *resurgere

Wow! Well done. I like the effort you exerted in trying to really find the backgrounds of the countries you chose (out of the entries).

Oh, and I did notice the star on the three months you have so far. That must be for uniformity, huh?

you're the first one to notice the star thing.. yes, the sub-theme of the calendar is "the same stars we see at night", each month will have a star :)

That's a nice idea. Yeah, its just that you see the moon and the stars at different angles from the horizon.
