Become a Beta Tester on DeviantArt!
Join the beta testing program to help test and improve future DeviantArt features! Beta testing is a cornerstone of DeviantArt’s history, and beta testers benefit the community by providing feedback and usage data. Through bug reports and insight shared during the testing stages, beta testers can help shape and improve site features. Any deviant can become a beta tester by adding this journal to their favourites. :+fav: If you decide later that you want to opt-out, you can do so by removing this journal from your favorites. :sherlock: How It Works Beta testers are among the first to see new features introduced to DeviantArt. This early access is provided so deviants can test new features and provide feedback for the DeviantArt team through comments, bug reports, and user engagement metrics before it's released sitewide. When there’s an open beta test, testers will receive a notification providing details about the feature being tested, the specific things they are being asked to

DreamUp and Our AI-Art Features and Tools
We are living through one of the most innovative and disruptive times for creators, and the internet at large. The progress and speed of emerging technologies is mind-blowing, offering new opportunities for creativity, growth and monetization online, not just on DeviantArt, but across the web. But these discoveries also bring new challenges and questions for us to navigate as a society. Since inception, it has always been DeviantArt’s commitment to support all creators and to provide fair tools and protections to artists online. In the last couple of years, we have worked hard and taken a lot of pride in helping creators better safeguard their art and rights online with DeviantArt Protect, our AI-powered technology for scanning blockchains to identify potential art and NFT infringements. We’ve also launched new monetization tools for creators to leverage their own communities and sell their art, including Subscriptions, the DeviantArt Shop, and Adoptables. In that same spirit of

Create AI-Generated Art Fairly with DreamUp
Introducing DreamUp™, an image-generation tool powered by your prompts that allows you to visualize most anything you can DreamUp! DeviantArt DreamUp lets you create AI-art knowing that creators and their work are treated fairly. UPDATE: We heard the community feedback, and now all deviations are automatically labeled as NOT authorized for use in AI datasets. IMPORTANT: DeviantArt did not, does not, and will not use deviations submitted to DeviantArt to add to third-party AI models or training sets, or on DreamUp itself. DeviantArt did not consent to third-party technology usage of images on our site, which were used to train AI models. In an effort to combat future unauthorized usage, we have enacted “noai” — an industry-first directive alerting AI models of deviants' desires to opt out. DeviantArt is the only platform giving creators the ability to tell third-party AI datasets and models whether or not their content can be used for training. This is a protection for creators to

Digital Marvels - Art Feature
If you've been thoroughly immersed back in the world of Westeros on HBO's House of the Dragon (if not, please rectify immediately), then you'll be particularly appreciative of the medieval structures that are depicted throughout CanadianMark's gallery. Castles, forts, and towers, along with majestic mountain peaks and valleys, are all impressively rendered and detailed. Perhaps the only thing missing is a dragon or two :) Enjoyed this feature? Be sure to go follow the artist and keep watch on their progress!
As many have noticed, DeviantArt is now host to a very rapidly growing community of various Ai Generating Artists and a few of them are not very well received. As I'm part of it, in this Journal I'll be explaining why and how I work. How does Ai Art work :la: Here I'll be covering the basic of the most common model Disco Diffusion : Disco Diffusion doesn't actually search the web for images to compose it's creations like other models such as Dall-E 2 for instance which does use an image decoder model, using an actual image for the generations to create a completely brand new image. Instead, neural networks that DD uses are pre-trained and use a noise generating model called Clip-Guided-Diffusion which creates an image through noise. The difference between Image and Noise :sherlock: The common argument for many against the concept of ai generations follows the theme of "stolen content" in the sense that an ai "steals" concepts and ideas from across the internet & artists to mash
