I didn't want to get to this point and have to write this journal, but unfortunately I am, and I'm writing it with my serious face, which you can't see but I totally have.
Seriously though, I decided to put my webcomic Children of the World on hold for now and for an undefined amount of time. As you can see, I didn't update last week but I promised I would do it starting today, however I couldn't do that either.
Earlier this year I wanted to start the new chapter of the comic in january and update in a timely manner each week, however a few weeks before that I got involved on a personal project which is a freelance project, i.e. a paid work. At first I thought I could manage to get that work done at the same time I worked on the comic... but it turns out I'm not Superman (for as much as I want to think I am sometimes), and between my full time job, my volunteer efforts and my freelance sidejob, I don't have much energy nor time left to work on the comic at this time.
Like any other webcomic artist, I do this for the love of it, because I want to share my story with you and I do it for free. It's awesome to receive your support, every single comment and fav I receive is greatly appreciated, that's my reward. And that's why it hurts so much to disappoint you this way. However as you can imagine, when it comes down to paid work vs personal work, there are times when I need to sacrifice some of what I love for what I'm paid to do.
THE COMIC IS NOT DEAD, not on the slightlest, just... sleeping. As soon as I get some free time again I'll continue working on it, I'm so excited to let you guys know of what's coming! It's a project I'm pouring all my love into, so rest assure I won't let it die, but I prefer to put it on pause for a time instead of promising you updates that won't come.
So please bear with me! The comic will resume hopefully in some weeks, but this time I won't give you a date until I'm completely sure of when I'll be able to give you constant updates. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Just... don't forget about it XD I promise it will get back soon!
