In a world where everything seems to have been already created and where originality seems to be more and more scarse, once in a while I stumble upon artists who have that... something, that spark of freshness which makes you stop from browsing and check the rest of their galleries. I think these artists deserve more recognition for the originality of their work and so in this occasion I present you what I consider three of these artists. As usual, ladies first....
*Nadiezda: A little cartoony, a like like anime except that not really.
I love the colorfulness of *Nadiezda's style, combined with a very stylized and dynamic presentation, full of textures and different forms.
From popular fandoms like Doctor Who and Homestuck to original characters like Ral and Junko, with her original take on popular themes like the day of the death, her gallery is sure to have something you might appreciate. Her style is one of those you can't really place in a premade category.
~peerro: So simple, yet I bet you can still recognize them
Simplicity was never this cute. The work of ~peerro defies the belief that an artwork needs to be full of details to look amazing. Add that despite the simplicity of his work he still manages to make his caricatures recognizable.
~peerro's work has also another particularity: some of his pieces can combine the perfect amounts of cute and macabre, like reading a morbid children's book, something you can specially appreciate in his early works.
~lerms: Vectors like you have never seen before
There's a word to describe ~lerms' work: fascinating.
Another gallery with a great use of colors as a strong point, his use of forms and shapes is one of those you just can't ignore, like watching through a magnifying glass, enhacing reality to a surreal level.
Besides his stand alone illustrations, you can check some of his sequential art which is just as amazing, like is the case of Ancenstral Knowledge and Tamarindo.
In conclusion: one of those very few styles you can say deviate from the common ones, it's not what you usually see everyday.
