I looove Olympics
... unfortunately this little detail of having a full time job prevents me from watching them as much as I would like.. but one must eat huh?
I follow the swimming events with special interest, probably because I'm a swimmer myself. I was watching the finals yesterday when Chad Le Clos from South Africa beated Michael Phelps in the 200 m Butterfly.
When he touched the edge and turned to see the results he couldn't believe he won, you should have seen him! his expression was priceless! He was NOT expecting to win. And not only that, he was almost crying when his national anthem was playing while receiving his medal. He's was so cute XD Now THAT's how you receive a Gold Medal. Chad is officially my favourite olympian from these games.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, because today I kinda felt like Chad XD I woke up as usual around 5:30 (yeah, not as easy as it sounds sometimes) I was checking twitter with my iPod and saw a mention from ^
KasumiCR saying something among the lines of "Congrats Thiefo!" ... congrats for what?
And then I saw... I received this month's Deviousness Award? What!? I think my reaction was kinda like Chad's... minus the hot body of course, but everything else was pretty much the same XD I started trembling I swear! But I had to control myself, I was late for my swimming class! XD
I'm not comparing the Award with an olympic medal... except that I am
When you think about it, is an honor that only a single deviant receives every month, only 12 deviants receive it every year, and not in a million years I would've dreamed about being one of them! I still don't know why me honestly XD I could mention at least 10 people on top of my head right now who I think deserve the award more than me. So why me?!
But anyway, now that it happened I'll treat this award with respect, just like an olympian with a gold medal. So thanks! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. I really don't know what else to say! x)
Btw and talking about swimming and all, precisely today my trainer decided I was good enough to pass to the fastest lane, I'll be swimming with the pros from now on, those who go to the cups to compete, how awesome is that? You know it's gonna be a good day when 2 awesome things happened to you and is not even 7:00 am yet!

Congrats on your own swimming achievements!
Personally, my favorite was Christian Sprenger's reaction at winning second in the 100m breaststroke final. They only showed it for a second, but when he turned around and saw his name, his face was so adorable. >w>;; I totally have the link to the video if you want to see it
