The City of Hyrule Walkthrough by Ry-Spirit

Walkthroughs, alongside tutorials, are always an excellent way to learn. It's really helpful to get educated through a tutorial which tells exactly what to do in a detailed way step by step. However at times what is even more helpful is to actually see the artist in action, there are things you need to see get done by yourself and here is where walkthroughs come into play.

There's always something fascinating about seeing the different stages of the creation process of a piece, and you can always learn from the artists and adapt part of said process to your own.

Yuka Process by UponThouFairCat

Besides showing part of this process through images which show the different stages of a piece, and thanks to today's technology and the different social networks which allow users to share content, the access to videos showing these processes is at hand more than ever. Looking at a video can be even more helpful because you're able to actually see the artist in action.

Here are some amazing videos showing the creative process of some amazing deviants.

A collection of some static and animated walkthroughs from some great deviants. An interesting and entertaining way to learn.

Walkthroughs help me out more than tutorials sometimes since I don't have to worry about reading anything and can experiment on my own to get similar results.

For me one of the most inspiring things about walkthroughs is seeing that even incredibly amazing artists usually start out with a random jumble of lines or a few shapeless splotches of colour. :)
