I still remember when I first saw the artwork of Victoria. It was around 2007 with her deviation
cybele's reverie.
I instantly fell in love with the illustration. I've been following Toia's work since then and going further than just loving it, it was her work what motivated me to follow the path of illustrating for children. Back in the day when I was still trying to develope an artistic style of my own, I found Toia and realized there is a whole world of illustrations with that childish feeling, images that take you back to your childhood, from classic stories and fairytales.
Toia's artworks never fail to amaze me, more than just pretty images, she creates a whole world and a story enclosed in a single illustration. Her always beautifully designed characters always seem to tell a story, making you want to know about more about them; who are they? What do they do exactly? All this presented in a beautiful image composed of vibrant colors and delicious textures.
