Indira.
One for my sister
A few days ago I was on my way to work, I was about to hop aboard my car when a guy who was already there came to me, he looked familiar, one of those persons you know you've seen before but you cannot remember where. Anyway he said "Excuse me, but do you knew Indira?"
"... you knew?" ... I had a bad feeling about it since the very moment he said knew.
"Indira?" "Yes, Indira Trejo, I remember you knew her from elementary school" "Oh yes, I know her" "Well I don't know if you already know this, but Indira passed away almost a year ago, sorry to tell you this, I just wanted to let you know, since I remember you used to be friends"
So yeah, suddenly I remembered, I knew that guy from elementary school too, it's just that many years has passed since then that I almost forgot about him. Indira was my best friend from elementary school, she, Jaime and I were inseparable, we were just like Yakko, Wakko and Dot (I was Wakko
) We were like brothers and sister. I lost contact with Indira since a few years ago, and that's sad but I still remember I used to think about her every now and then, wondering what she must be doing, last time I saw her was something like 2 or 3 years ago.
Even so, you know that a good friend is never forgotten and of course the news shocked me.
Then a few things came in place for this drawing. First, on my way to work I was listening to this song; "one for my sister... soon you'll discover its true... this ones for you" Then I decided. I would dedicate a drawing to her (x. At that exact moment I was making the early sketch for Scorpio and this was pretty much the original idea. One of the things I most remember about Indira was her braid, she always used one back in school. Also, I don't remember exactly, but I think she was indeed Scorpio, and besides, she passed away on november of last year and Scorpio was meant for november. The letter has a meaning too, and that's between Indira and me (: I still to this day conserve some of the letter she sent me.
So yes, Indira, this one's for you!
